" 'The problem with you artists is that you want to share yourself with others, instead of working for the common good.' He leaned forward and turned pages. 'I'm curious - did you really think you had the strength to accomplish your artistic goals? Well?' I did not reply. 'We don?t need your kind of performance. In truth, the performers of acts are insignificant to us. It is works and ideas that concern us.'

I hear the guards. Enough.
