"It was barely getting light outside when I heard them on the stairs. Loud as usual. They entered the apartment. I cut my wrist, pressed my hand hard down on it and sank to the floor. I did not have to fake anything: just loosen my grip as they came in. Two of them immediately carried me out, while the third one tied a towel tight around my arm. Thee whole building was awake by now. I vaguely recall a glimpse of my nephew and sister on the sidewalk as they pressed my head into the car. So I avoided the dreaded prison. I appeared weak and incoherent, and was assigned to the psychiatric ward from the beginning, for constant observation. They wanted me alive. They love trials, and are always hungry for interrogations that may lead to more arrests." * For kjøpsinformasjon eller andre opplysninger om kunstverkene, vennligst ring 472 35 186, eller send en e-post: gallery@nordicart.info Artwork (text & image): Jan Valentin Sæther / BONO © 2004 All Rights Reserved |
